UH may be the 4th team in NCAA history to have the entire starting 5 drafted

Only 2006 UConn, 2012 Kentucky and 2024 Duke has accomplished having their entire starting 5 drafted in the same class

Current draft projections:

Flemings- Top 5 lottery pick
Cenac- 1st round
Tugler- early 2nd
Uzan- early to mid 2nd
Sharp- Late 2nd or high priority free agent

The University of Kentucky holds the record for the most NBA draft picks in a single year. In the 2012 NBA Draft, six Kentucky players were selected, including Anthony Davis (1st overall) and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (2nd overall).

Random thing I heard today, no team has won a National Title without at least 1 player being a 1st rounder, since 1987.

CKS won’t allow that with the transfer portal. He’s going to get sum veterans in here.

I remember the Phi Slamma Jamma team, with Hakeem, Clyde, Michael Young all drafted, I don’t remember Reid Getty’s, but I think he was too. Maybe I am missing one?

Thinking that 1960’s to 1970’s UCLA Teams had 5 starters drafted.

I believe Gettys and Micheaux were drafted, but. bunch of rounds back then

I guess i forgot about Gettys draft
Draft Year: 1985
Round: 5th
Pick: 103rd overall
Team: Chicago Bulls

Micheaux was a 2nd rounder

Do you have the link of a mock draft supporting this? I’d like to read it.

Other Phi Slama Jama (1983-84) players drafted;

Alvin Franklin 1986, 4th round, 80th player, Kings
Cadillac Anderson 1987, 1st round, 23rd player, Spurs
Ricky Wlnslow 1987, 2nd round, 28th player, Bulls

Note: The player most blessed with all the basketball tools and athleticism and sadly the most unrealized tremendous potential, Benny Anders, went undrafted after suffering a knee injury and was kicked out of school shortly afterwards.

Michaeax was drafted in the second, but Franklin was in drafted in the fourth.

Tugler must come back and sharpen his O skills and then he will be a much higher pick.

Agree… I think Tugler comes back. I hope Sharp plays his way into the draft.

Uzan tugler and sharp will not be drafted.

I believe the case being discussed was 5 players from a team being selected in the same draft. Drexler and Micheaux were in the '83 draft. Hakeem and Young were '84

You are probably right!

agreed

Uzan is not going to be drafted. Sharp has a shot. But neither of them are better overall than LJ and LJ wasn’t drafted although he signed with the Warriors.
