Where is the new med school building being built? I’m looking at a photo of it, in the magazine like booklet I received to today, showing it under construction, But I can’t figure out where it is.

It’s basically just South of Main Campus across from MacGregor Park.

It’s actually kinda mid way between OST/MLK and Brays Bayou/MLK. Google Earth
does not have updated photos it just shows the entire tract as a wooded green area.
Was it wise to build it that close to the bayou?
It’ll be fine. Looks much different in person.
Btw, I got the “magazine like booklet” too. I’m concerned about the money that UH spends on this sort of thing. This one is printed on very nice paper and full of really nice color photos. Must’ve cost a fortune.
I don’t think my stature as a donor is worthy of such things.

Looking nearly done from the outside. The improved and expanded sidewalks that go with this project make the area much more aesthetically pleasing.
Should help tie in McGregor Park and the apartments on the other side into the campus
I’ll have to check it out when I’m out at UH this Friday. The new law school is also looking great!
Does the light rail go near the medical school?
Right in front of it.

At my annual physical and my doctor has a med student shadowing him from UH! Pretty cool.
