Rundown:
- Automatic admission for non top 10% students is now set at 1250 SAT or 26 ACT.
- Removed tiered SAT and ACT automatic admissions, meaning if you’re below the top 10% you have to hit that 1250 SAT or 26 ACT benchmark for AA. In contrast to the previous system which had 11-25% (1080 SAT, 21 ACT), 26-50% (1170 SAT, 24 ACT), etc.
- Overall admission standards have gone up for freshman applicants, as stated in the previous paragraphs.
- Focus on making admission process less confusing, and openly communicate guarantees to the applicant base
- Doesn’t expect incoming freshman number to decrease due to increase applicant numbers
- UH’s current average SAT is 1222, versus national average of 1029.
Wonder if they’ll increase the standards for transfers coming in too? Hope so, 2.50 GPA auto admission should be bumped up to 3.00 GPA.

And the 1250 SAT is just the university baseline for automatic admission. Bauer and Cullen have higher standards of admissions than that.

Holy smokes a 2.5 college GPA gets you in?! Bro, and I thought here at Bauer, a 3.2 assured was a joke to get in.
