A defense that had been under siege in losses to Navy and SMU, held UCF to four first downs and minus-45 rushing yards after halftime. The Knights committed all four turnovers in the span of five possessions in the third quarter and opening minute of the fourth quarter.

Before Saturday, UH had forced only 10 turnovers in eight games after being among the nation’s best the past four seasons.
