On July 1, 2013, UH ended a 17-year run in Conference USA and joined the AAC, which was formed with Big East holdovers Louisville, Rutgers, Connecticut, Cincinnati, South Florida and Temple and newcomers Houston, SMU, Memphis and Central Florida.
Since joining, UH has won 25 conference titles, including six in each of the last two seasons.
