Applewhite said the Cougars have been “fun to watch” in practice this week and the mood has been upbeat. True freshman quarterback Clayton Tune is expected to make his first career start.
“Everybody is excited. Guys are ready to roll,” Applewhite said. “They are happy they’ve worked themselves back into this opportunity. You can tell there’s a sense of, ‘Hey, we’ve worked ourselves back into this. Now let’s go make use of it.’”
