“That’s his record,” UH All-American defensive tackle Ed Oliver said of Pumphrey. “As long as we come out at the end of the game with more points, then I don’t care if he shatters the record.”

In the 85 Cotton bowl UH was focused on stopping flutie. Did ok on him, the two running backs went for 100+ yds each. Bad lose for UH.

Who cares about the record as far as we are concerned?! We want to win the game and finish 10-3 on the year. That ought to be the only thing that matters to us.
