Yeah I think Rick Neuheisel said he had multiple $4M offers and then his brother or someone came out and basically said it wasn’t true. Of course that is a confirmation it is probably true lol
Someone said the transfer portal isn’t open till Jan 2. How are these guys declaring?
There DC I think….not positive.
No one can enter the portal until Jan.2
This is just players verbally stating they are entering.

This more of a question. The portal window that starts Jan 2 is when they can officially start talking to coaching staffs and sign the transfer papers. Now I don’t believe that these players declaring early aren’t talking to coaching staffs but whatever. Is these reason these players are declaring early is to start talking to NIL collectives (including their own team) to see what is available and negotiate a deal?
I don’t think that’s against the rules (correct me if I’m wrong) and would make sense as to what is going on. But regardless of the official window, these players are essentially saying they are leaving. Right?

I think the ones declaring don’t have anything lined up and they are advertising. Leavitt probably has something lined up and will wait to avoid being inundated. I suspect a lot of kid’s agents are making deals, keeping them down low, then declare and transfer in 1 day.
A booster at ASU said Oregon made a run at Leavitt before the season with a huge offer.

The pattern last year. ~80% of portal takes had a Wes Fritz & Smithson follow - many also had an OC or DC follow too among other staff also following.
Generally speaking and definitely not in every case, the more follows, the greater the interest.
That being said, not all with a ton of follows got an offer or accepted.
Note: sometimes, the follows are left over from HS recruitment or previous times in the portal

Yeah, I would think it is going to be more difficult to get an offer from UH this year and moving forward….
I know the coaches are high on character and work ethic as much as talent.

Yeah disappointing… O-line is a tough area to plug from portal or freshmen… you need folks that have been in the system for a couple years to develope.
No clue…still waiting.
It’s odd because I thought he was a senior & out of eligibility.
However, if he still has 1 more year left, I can see how he might want to go get a bag somewhere else.
Remember, he is a Holgorsen recruit, so he’s had to put up with a lot bts, I would guess.
