I recently acquired this 1958 twirlers uniform.
I’ve never actually seen one in person, and was excited when I had the chance to add it.
It is now one of the prize artifacts in my collection!
I’ve attached photos of the ladies when they would wear these.

I remember going to games as a little kid and watching a male twirler. He used fire on the baton and was impressive.
I don’t need to see male twirlers.
Just to be consistent I don’t want to see Frontiersmen either.
Female Twirlers, Cougar Dolls, Buggy Beauties are all great.

Somewhere on campus we need to have a Cougar Sports History display, and stuff like this should be in it!!

I remember that. lol Rather controversial at the time, maybe still today.
Maybe some people want that.
I am not saying that they shouldn’t be such a thing.
If people want it great. I just said “I’ don’t need to see it.
But, none of us need to see the Frontiersman.

Female dancers that performed during timeouts and halftime. The football team had the Cougar Dolls and the basketball team had the Houston Honeys.
