UH vs Kansas ticket tracker- lower bowl very close to a sellout

Is that red lower bowl area where Kansas’ tickets are?

Yes

If it was Army or Navy, that area plus 312-315 would be gray.

I’m surprised by the ten point spread but we would be 2-0 with no OTs if those two games were at home.

Another section sold out. Tickets are moving slowly but thats better than not moving at all.

We may have about 30K there Saturday. Doesn’t seem to be a lot of those big blocks of tickets left

Yes, we need more of those

Do Kansas fans travel well?

Judging by the tickets we have in their section im guessing not

The players don’t live under a rock, they’re well-aware how the UH fanbase is. Hell, some of them read this forum.

Tickets may be selling but people actually showing up is another matter. Hope everyone shows!

I feel hoodwinked! Hurt! Bamboozled!

I did the math because I have nothing better to do than count green dots on a screen. There are 718 tickets left in the lower bowl. Now you also have to factor in what perctagd of those who bought will be there, but lets say its 70% thats still a pretty good turn out down low. Plus the 12$ tickets at the gate im sure people will buy a GA or nosebleed ticket and move down if there are some patches of open seats.

Sounds about right

Maybe the end zone folks were upgraded to those two gray 300 level seats.

Well, I mentioned earlier In the thread that they do this. They make it seem like their sold and then release more tickets. But this isn’t the full picture, folks. Check stub hub.

Why do they do this, make it look like no seats available and then open up the seating a few days before the game, DUMB DUMB, sell the damn seats don’t gray them out, what is wrong with our athletic department!
Going to be a poor crowd no seeing the whole end zone available now!

Yes. I also don’t get this strategy. I’m thinking that maybe this is done to encourage people to buy now or miss out. IE, create artificial scarcity and to encourage people to buy 300 level seats.

But dam, this strategy doesn’t work with UH Football. Maybe with UH Basketball….but definitely not for Football. Not yet anyhow.

I say bring back the party cabanas and allow beer kegs again. Tailgating shouldn’t be this complicated and full of red tape. And no, I don’t want to pay $500 plus for a friggin tailgating tent.

The athletics department apparently hired random people off the street

Sure the 3rd part sites have tickets which is why I say if we get 60-70%.
In total we only have 4,066 open seats in the stadium even after they opened the additional tickets. At a capacity of 40,000-42,000 (depending on who you ask) that puts at at 36K-38K tickets sold. Lets go conservative and say only 60% of that shows up between unsold 3rd party tickets, weather, etc. that gets us to 21k-23k butts in seats. You add in walk ups with the 12$ tickets lets say we get another 2K from that we are 25,000 butts in seats and roughly 40K tickets sold. But I think its pretty reasonable to say we get closer to 70% of seats sold show up. Which lands us at 27,000 on the low end and 28,000 on the high end. Which aint bad for a rainy game against kansas.
