UH vs Kansas ticket tracker- lower bowl very close to a sellout

Maybe for UH football standards but Big 12 standards might be a different story.

Idk man. Look at it as % of occupancy. If we sell 95% of our tickets and have butts in 70% of the stadiums seats for a mid day game against kansas Id say that stacks up right with most of the big 12.

If we don’t sell out 40K, looks like we are a basketball school now.

Huh? 40K is a sell out. I dont understand what you’re saying. Most of the big 12 would be similar % of butts in seats for a day game against Kansas with 60% rain.

UH allocates 3-4K tickets for visiting fans I believe so part of this is probably them giving tickets back to us and our athletic department selling them again because it was mainly on the lower level in the end zone ( visiting fans) could be something else but that makes sense to me. I believe schools give tickets back to the home team a couple days before the game. I’m guessing Kansas didn’t sell all 3-4 thousand and they ended up sending back 2 thousand or so

I haven’t checked but I doubt any Big 12 school has a crowd of 28,000. That is not something to be proud about. Not with the aspirations that we have for our program. Even UTSA would be disappointed in that.

Truth.

You can say 85% full stadium all you want, but at the end of the day it’s butts in seats that’s recorded and reported.

Tickets allocated are upper level SW corded and maybe some next to the visitors tunnel.

I just looked on the secondary market ( stub hub, vivid seats, ticket master etc.) there are tickets available but not in big chunks. It’s mainly less than 20 tickets in most sections. I think we may all be surprised Saturday by the crowd, not saying every seat will be filled but it’s going to look and sound great for our boys Saturday

You arent listening. The stats that matter are raw butts in seats, and % of seats sold. Again if this was a night game with good weather your probably expect 80-85% of tickets sold to show up. Which gets us to 32-35K. But im trying to be conservative with the threat of rain and heat. And say 70% show up. Given those circumstances 28K is not bad.

For UH standards, not someone like Tech or Baylor or places like that. Not something to be proud of.

I swear we could have a sell out and 1 seat be empty and somebody will complain about it

No for most standards. Ive been to plenty of day games at mclane stadium against lower tier big 12 opponents where they were 70-80% full. And they only hold 45K. Stop looking for things to be mad about. This is positive that for a game that by these “big 12 standards” you keep taking about isnt high profile.

We disagree. It’s not good. And I’m not mad about it. I have come to accept it.

This is probably to sell seats in certain sections sell first
such as ones seen on TV the most.

A whole lot of our “fanbase” are the fairest of fair-weather fans. I have come to expect nothing from our fans. There’s about 20K of us, including students, that you can depend on being at the game and anything over that is subject to whims of the day. This is why we were not in the B12 long ago and why other teams wonder why we were invited in this time. If we actually have a good crowd, I will retract my statement, but I am expecting less than 30K and wouldn’t be surprised if it’s less than 25K.

We’re gonna have over 30k

If it doesn’t rain we definitely getting 30K+

UTSA had 2 games >28k last year when they were 10-0 and 11-0. They had as many games <20k as they did >28k
