UH vs Southern

What great teamwork! Haha. The LF has a stronger arm and the CF was off balance?

When I was watching, the Southern RH pitcher was clocking 87 MPH fastballs without a lot of placement success.

That is an amazing stat right there. UH’s wins since Covid are 50% in Quad 4? I would say I don’t know how an AD could ignore those numbers, but he does it every year!!

He’ll say “we’re beating the teams we’re supposed to beat.” :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Are you looking forward to the big UT-Arlington series coming soon!?

They are 15-22 right now….should be knock down -drag out series.

They did beat TCU, so a split will be quite an accomplishment.

#137 RPI for UTA. We should sweep.

Tristate, you crack me up :joy:……you use waaaay too much common sense.

We are past the point of no return buddy.

Not going to happen. They play all the Big 12/Pac 10 teams in midweeks. Ryan Black is a star and they beat the ever loving crap out of us last year. Miller gave up 5 HR’s in the first inning. I promise you they are coming in thinking they will win the series. Our pitching staff is much better, though, so UH could win 2 (as long as the wind is not blowing at 50 mph from the south).

Nice preview of the challenge.

I noticed that Lamar has a 42 RPI, 66 for SHSU and 84 for UTSA vs 101 for the Coogs.

Are any of those head coaches realistic options for UH?

Todd reposts some stuff like Lady Coog golfers are in fourth place in Big 12 championships. It might help that the course is in Hockley, TX. BYU, UCF and Cinci at the bottom after one day, right behind OU.

Gang,

Hey listen, I’ve all but given up hope, but does this weekend’s series give us any realistic prospects for victory?

What if we swept this series?

Would we move up?

Yes of course but we’re ranked #101 in RPI and last in the conference. I’m hoping we win two of three and show progress. Cincinnati is not a very good team but they’re better than UH.

It’s not like we have a first or second year coach and progress is meaningful. Maybe the mid-week blowouts helped confidence and got some players PT but it didn’t help RPI.
