The one thing I wish we had here is folks singing the national anthem before sporting events. In many European countries everyone sings the national anthem, the crowd and players, but here its is not as prevalent.
Hell, moving your border east doesn’t make you safer from an attack from the west.
This is just a old time communist takeover.

This is exactly what happened to France after WWI. The history channel had the French army as the most powerful army in the world or the closest to it. The end result of the great war had a devastating impact. This is why you see a war memorial in pretty much every single village or city. An entire generation was “WIPED OUT” Imagine a family losing all of their teenage and young adults sons. Shortly after Socialism crept in. The last thing that France wanted to hear in the 30’s 40’s was about war.
This seems awful weird to me. I wonder what’s going on. Something doesn’t jive.
Night after night, the host of the top-rated show on Fox News repeats Vladimir Putin’s talking points justifying aggression against Ukraine and opposing U.S. aid to that threatened sovereign country. Tucker Carlson’s influence is felt across right-wing social media, where it is amplified by figures such as Steve Bannon, Mike Cernovich, Glenn Greenwald, and Mollie Hemingway.
Meanwhile, day after day, Republican officeholders in the House and the Senate urge more support for Ukraine. That list includes not only traditionalists such as Roger Wicker of Mississippi also many legislators who got close to former President Donald Trump, such as Senators Tom Cotton and Ted Cruz.
Mitch McConnell the top Republican in the Senate, has backed the Biden administration’s approach, as have [the top Republicans on the House Intelligence and Armed Services Committees. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has blasted Joe Biden’s Ukraine policy as too weak on Russia, not too strong.
It’s because for a not insignificant part of that audience current Russia is not an enemy but a potential friend against the CCP. Plus it being a white, Christian (with close ties to the Orthodox Church) dominant regime doesn’t hurt their feelings either. It’s not dissimilar to pre entry to-WW2 when some both in the population and in government believed we should throw in against the USSR and not the Nazi’s
Heck Truman believed we should play both sides send stuff to the Nazi against the Soviets and when the time came send it to the Soviets to maximize both sides killing each other
History never repeats, but it often rhymes. And human beings don’t change.

Do you even watch the show JohnnyCougar? Tucker’s point from day one has been about Ukraine gaining NATO’s membership. The soviets then the Russian Federation never accepted that Poland got NATO’s membership. They felt betrayed and have said so on multiple occasions. Like it or not it is easy to understand their position and especially on Ukraine.
Today we hear that ice cream biden will be very unhappy if Russia invades Ukraine and that he will no longer accept the the Nord 2 pipeline. Really? After all he lifted all Trump imposed sanctions on russia in December while the Russians already had amassed troops, hardware and other goods along the Ukraine border.
1985coog do you mean FDR? Speaking of FDR how responsible is he for the rise of the nazis and what came after?
Chris has posted that he doesn’t watch Fox news. But he sure has the exact same talking points currently on Fox news. Like the ice cream thing. Dude like ice cream, you making fun of that? lol.
There is no need to get personal or to change the topic to another poster’s judgement and viewing habits. There is especially no need for confrontation.
Don’t make it about me and I won’t respond in kind. Fair?
I read today that we’re not backing down on the Ukraine in nato so we have a problem. Russia is right in this case bc if we’re stupid enough to allow and push this agenda then Russia has a right to put missiles in Cuba and South America. We need to back off from the nato clause which caused this.Gas will go up to $5 dollars at the pump and the stock market will go down.
In 1939, Stalin grew tired of tolerating the existence of Finland on the Soviet Union’s western border, so he decided to crush it. In December, 120,000 soldiers, backed up by six hundred tanks and a thousand artillery pieces, readied themselves to invade Finland.
The Finns were unperturbed. Their generals were competent, their borders were fortified, and their people were ready to fight and die for their homeland.
As Russian bombs fell on Helsinki on the 30th of November, and Soviet divisions began crossing the border, a joke began to spread among the Finns. Whether apocryphal or not, this surely has to rate as the coolest line in history:
“They are so many and our country is so small, where shall we find room to bury them all?”
