Sounds like his Dad may have jumped the gun before D’eriq was fully on board or may be trying to make this happen if D’eriq isn’t sure he wants to do it.
It’s hard to see him coming back after this, though.

Think he already had a lot of work to do in that area. Case in point----that was a pure 100% quit job vs Army and that is 100% on the coaches. It’s a rebuild, might as well get it started now.

I don’t think they were starting QBs in the cases at Clemson and Bama. They had already lost their starting spot.
