Underdog Dynasty:Opinion: The 5 Best Quarterbacks in AAC History

D’Eriq King should NOT be on that list over Greg Ward.

Man scored 50 TDs in one season. Also Ward didn’t play his whole UH career in the AAC as we know it today.

Don’t you mean King didn’t play his whole career in the AAC?

Yeah King had an amazing season with Baby Briles at the helm.

But King over Ward, and Flowers over Ward is objectively wrong.

People still soured over King leaving UH lol.

F this noise. Ward > King.

Was thinking the same thing. I would put Ward #3 overall and King #5. Milton is #1 and Ridder #2

This is just silly without Ward on the list…

Good point. How does Ridder not even make the list? Two DOMINANT seasons in the AAC.

If only there was another UH QB that could turn any play into a TD, converted to WR in the NFL AND actually won a lot of games that King could’ve been compared to here…

he told billechek he wanted to redshirt

This list is honestly pretty garbage. Ridder is the obvious #1 (at worst #2). Started all four years at Cincy. Won the most games by far. Solid numbers. Won two chips and led his team to the playoffs (playoffs!). Milton’s sophomore season was probably the best single season in league history. Had he not got hurt his junior year I think he would have been better than Ridder but he did get hurt. I think slotting him in at #2 would be fine. Flowers at #2 is too high. I think there is an argument to have him somewhere on here but imo he’s fighting Paxton Lynch and PJ Walker for the last spot. They picked the wrong UH QB for #3. Really nothing else to say there. As for Kennan Reynolds and Bortles, I think you could make the argument that both of those guys are the best QB’s in their respective programs history. However, if this is supposed to be a list about best QBs in AAC history, it needs to be pointed out that they only played a single season in the AAC. Because of that I wouldn’t have either of them ahead of Lynch, Walker, Evans, Ferguson, Flowers, and maybe even King and Tune. Frankly, Teddy Bridgewater had a better single season than either Reynolds or Bortles, but I doubt few people even remember he played in this league.

Greg Ward played hurt because judas told him so. Greg damaged his shoulder/arm by doing so. He still managed to produce numbers even though many players would have told judas to take a hike (I am polite) What kind of numbers would have Greg put up with being 100% healthy? We will never know but Greg surely embodies IMO a Coog. Never quit, go forward and give it all you have got.

Ridder, and the following in no particular order: Bortles, Ward, Milton, Bridgewater.

Greyrider is correct

milton is #1, cincy was elite on defense …bama qbs before 4 years ago werent elite despite winning titles

milton, ward then ridder

Bortles was OPOY and the higher draft pick in the same season as Bridgewater

I believer Ridder is the only 2 time OPOY in the AAC

milton is a 2time as well… ucf won games on offense… that ucf offense on any defense is still winning 10+…
ridders offense on a bad D isnt bowl eligibly his 1st 3 years… probably makes a bowl game as a senior but im calling only like 8 wins
