Boo-o-o

At least with Berhalter we didn’t let Mexico play 75 minutes on our side of the field.

I don’t mind losing but losing like emasculated children is unacceptable.

I’m completely convinced that the Sinaloa Cartel owns the USSF. The USMNT was outplayed by Costa Rica too.

3 whole posts on the United States playing in a Championship game, against our southern neighbor, IN HOUSTON.

Proof that soccer has a very small American audience is once again proven

It just proves there’s a small audience here on this site for this event. This is a UH Cougar centric site after all.

It’s a specific site where many die hard Houston area Sports fans gather to discuss strategy, coaching, etc.

The Astros / Texans / Rockets on this site, also not Cougars, get plenty of discussion but the Dynamo and Men’s National Team…not so much.

Not sure if the Dynamo even have a designated thread.

Even our imaginary NHL squad gets healthy attention.

So Yes! It is a valid sample size of the % of interest in the sport

With gen x and older…

But that will be changing with millennials and younger…

Have you ever driven by a football field on Saturdays… it’s all soccer teams nowadays.

It’s always been all soccer.

I grew up playing soccer in the playground. …the thing is that those ‘kids’ gravitate towards more interesting sports.

The numbers, in America, just don’t lie.

No need to get defensive but the fact is that it’s a niche sport in this country…which is fine.

But the big matches barely match the ratings of preseason NFL games

It has not always been all soccer… not around Houston anyway.

Pee-wee football used to be everywhere…

Now parents think their kids are less likely to get hurt playing soccer which isn’t true… soccer and bike riding are the leading cause of concussions in children.
