The Republic Clothing Co. sold something similar that Sir JJ Watt wore on the sideline of one of our games a few years ago.
They were a good place for licensed retro UH gear and other cool Houston shirts, but it appears they closed down shop sometime recently. Website is shutdown and social media accounts gone. RIP

I looked everywhere for that shirt JJ Watt was wearing… I talked to the company who made it and they said they didn’t plan on making any more. And now they’ve gone under. 
Someone should copy it. It’ll sell like crazy.
The old cougar logo is likely still trademarked and would need to be licensed. The UH website has a whole section on trademarks. I’d start there.
I’m pretty sure it’s 3 NBA Hall of Famer’s.
Actually the company that made the JJ Watt shirt is still in business ( www.homage.com) as I purchased a couple several years ago. I contacted them in 2015 and they said they did not have the license anymore.
The Republic carried a different shirt vintage shirt that I have.
There used to be a logo of the cougar jumping through the UH letters. Had it on a cap…the best logo I’ve seen and now I can’t even find a picture of it.
That is a true old design replica ! How do I know …I had one !
