Vols fans pelt victorious Ole Miss

“I don’t know if I’m more excited that we found a way to win or that I didn’t get hit with the golf balls that they were throwing at me,” former Vols coach Kiffin told SEC Network, holding up a yellow golf ball.

SEC sets the standard.

Even the hot dog vendor wanted to get some action.

Review the tape. Anyone identified should be banned from all University of Tennessee campus activities for life, permanently expelled if a student.

There’s precedent for individual perpetrators to be arrested on assault charges.

I agreed. It’s unacceptable for this kind of behavior to go unpunished. Tennessee should be penalize and fined for this behavior.

I hope every time stuff like this happens we as fans realize just how trashy it looks, and dont ever do it at UH.

There is past history. Ole Miss did it to Tennessee’s basketball team with them throwing stuff onto the basketball floor.

Preliminary records show 18 people were arrested and 47 people were ejected at Tennessee’s 31-26 loss against Ole Miss, a UTPD spokesperson said. University Chancellor Donde Plowman said Sunday that campus police are working to identify those responsible and perpetrators would lose the ability to attend future games if found to have thrown debris.

All individuals found to have been involved in disrupting the game will be banned from all Tennessee Athletics events for the remainder of the 2021-2022 academic and athletic year.

So much for your genius insight.

Read some posts on their fan boards. They are more than ok with what they did and think the fine is just a slap on the wrist.
Their justification was the refs made really bad calls therefore tossing crap at the opposing team and the refs is totally justified. They also excused their behavior by stating that Ol’ Miss fans threw trash at their basketball team last year. Their lack or remorse is quite scary.
On another note, one poster said his boss told him he was surprised he didnt come to work with a bag on his head and greeted him “hi litterbug” the entire day when they crossed paths.

In all seriousness, it’s only a game.

Someone got shot to death in Alabama after the A&M game over a dispute over who was the better team.

Sports… Is… A… Pastime

Bragging rights don’t include physical injuries and mayhem!

Hard to imagine this behaviour coming from great patriots who love this country more than anyone else. Oh let me guess, it was Ol Miss fans disguised as Tennessee fans who did this.
