Strong first round is important…especially in college golf. Keeps you relaxed instead of thinking how important each next swing is when you are trying to play catch-up.
Coogs stay strong on the 2nd day as they tie for the best round on the day with 10th place Princeton. Lead is now 9 strokes, Thothong continues to lead by 2 and Harm has moved into 3rd.
Coogs shoot +12 today, which wasn’t too bad relative to the field…however, LSU shoots -2 and wins the tournament by 3 strokes. Rough
Harm ends up finishing 2nd, 5 strokes back of the LSU girl who won by shooting a 69. Thothong ends up tying for 3rd, 6 strokes back, after leading by 2 yesterday.
Would have been nice to win, but still a good showing.
