It’s all good… you can’t explain how their terrible system works…
I’ll let you suggest my simple, yet effective, method to them to weed out brokers…
It doesn’t matter to me since I live in NC.

As a long time season ticket holder who lives out of town and ends up selling or giving away tickets, any kind of chip thing is a no-go for me.
There were people in my seats for every game, but that wouldn’t happen with an RFID chip.
Well I just told you there is a vetting system. Not sure what else you want. I don’t imagine it is as easy as you think and the brokers learn their way around the system some as well. I know last season we released hundreds of tickets back to the public and will do the same this season.
That’s the beauty of my suggestion… as you pass through the gates your seat is logged automatically…
Brokers only get one card so if the card doesn’t show up to 60% of the games then those seats get revoked…
What about regular season ticket holders who share a group of 4 or more seats?
I see what you’re getting at, but it’s just not a workable idea unless you’re willing to alienate long-time supporters in an effort to hunt down brokers.
Then I would expect those actual fans to pass it to each other for one season to weed out brokers… 60% isn’t hard to hit…
How does that alienate anyone…?
How am I going to “pass” a card or whatever to people in Houston when I’m 4 hours away? That just doesn’t make any sense.
And asking people to pass around a card when they’re buying tickets as a group also doesn’t make sense.
The ticket broker issue isn’t THAT big of a deal that we need to be putting ankle monitors on everyone.
Or… if UH was serious about it then they could allow a group, limit it to 4, to show up in person and all get RFID cards…
People on here seem to think it is… they claim that’s why there are so many empty seats for non-marquee games…
And ankle monitor is a huuuuuge stretch… a simple key ring sensor and boom… no more brokers… if we lose a couple of whiners along the way there’s a waitlist to fill their seats…
Don’t forget about the people who only go to weekend games.
Or have a card for each seat on your account.
If you have 4 seats, then you get 4 cards.
We did it for football during the 2015 and 2016 season.
Yeah… each seat gets a card… that’s why it’s only 60%…
The ticket office told me being a STH for football helped me for b-ball.
I actually think these discussions are healthy and hope our AD is willing to explore ideas to improve the process.
I will say though the idea we have so many entries is overstated and a nation wide issue. Just like the commercial says, events are never truly sold out any more in terms of seats all being occupied.
Our crowds have been tremendous and very good during non conference, holiday games snd weekday matchups compared historically to our crowds. We have been consistently great but some like to harp on every seat not being filled at game time.
Way better then when I used to go to almost every game from 2008-2017… one of the things I miss most living out of state is live Coog sports…
Agreed that the FC crowd looks awesome!
I have my season tix for football… but if I had them for basketball I’d just be another broker…
Do you make it to the football games?
I go to about 2 per year and give my tix to family and friends other games…
This season I’m coming down for Tech and I’m going to try to stay for Zona 2 weeks later…
Or I might try to be at Colorado and Tech…
Kyle, I am the same and I am trying to decide on best 2, around my schedule. I am in Pennsylvania for family wedding for SFA but available for the rest. Wish I could afford all but living close to Vegas for basketball in November and family in New York and Connecticut makes basketball game in New York City an option. Already have my name on list for ASU football game in Tempe in October.
I’ll probably be in NYC, too…
Yes he does I went down to his seat to personally meet him at a game last year he is a nice guy and a great Coog
See you at Tech for sure!!!
