Does Keisean count?
Yes because thereās a precedent with Kevin Kolb.
And Tune⦠![]()

Nope.
Of course but heās on a good trajectory
You can try to shoehorn him in all you want but he just didnāt fit the mold.
He was a serviceable QB in his last 2 years and thereās nothing wrong with that.
He was a game manager for the most part and again nothing wrong with that but he never put the offense on his back like the K/W guys did.
The stats donāt lie.
No but they also donāt tell the entire story either. You know as well as I do that he didnāt have the āitā factor.
How many times did Dana refused to give any other QBs a chance? How many times did Dana force garbage time stats when we were getting blown out?
Nobody has to force any of the other guys into a conversation of UH football and legendary offensive performances, it comes up naturally.
He hates King and there is no stat that can convince him otherwise.
King blew his knee playing for Houston. Twice. Believe he holds the record for the most TDs in a single season.
Grateful he played here.
Looking back he made the right decision to transfer.
King will always be a Coog.
I see that now. Itās crazy at this point in 2025 to be salty about King despite everything we know now in retrospect.
King flourished at Miami when healthy while we struggled on offense when Tune took over.
Plus King still comes to UH basketball games.
I have no love for King the way he left here but fact is he showed flashes at UH and Miami and also real holes in his hgame that surfaced at both places. Miami fans loved him while he flashed and then started understanding what his limitations were by mid season and then entering the next season when he was struggling.
What those stats donāt show is how many games Ware and Klingler only played 2-3 quarters of the game. If they had played all game they could have had games in double digit TD passes.
If Weigman can win as many games as Greg Ward did as a Cougar QB, we are in business.
Yessir. The ASU game will be a huge test
I love coincidences.
Where is that coog poster talking all that ish about Weigman in the offseason? He got very quiet.
Lol it wasnāt just one. It was a handful of experts who were saying Weigman was Kyle Allen 2.0
Greatest coincidence ever
Tune played well for the Coogs and put up the numbers. He played on an overall team that wasnāt nearly as good as as Keenum, Ward, Ware, Klingler, or Kohl, yet his numbers are better than most of them. Nor was the defense as good as those of the other teams. Nor was the coach nearly as good as the ones those guys had. It was Tune that kept us in most games.
I just never understood the hate for Tune by so many on here.
