I am not so sure Weigman can really turn the corner and be a NFL quarterback. I hate to say it, but he reminds me of Tune and I didn’t think Tune was an NFL quarterback.
What set Keenum apart for the NFL was he is smart, gets the ball off fast and is deadly accurate.
So far, you’ve been proven wrong about that.
I don’t think you’ve bolstering your credibility with that prediction.
I must be one of the few still living who attended that great win. We had a rowdy alumni flight on a chartered Russian surplus flight.Big crowd greeted us on our return.
Any QB on an NFL roster is by definition an NFL QB. Taking into consideration all the hundreds of QBs in the nation each year who failed to make an NFL roster, you have your answer.
If you sign an NFL contract, you’re an NFL quarterback
And even better, if you have STARTED a regular season game as an NFL QB, then you are absolutely and indisputably an NFL QB.
Tune has started two regular season NFL games, back in 2023.
Granted, he didn’t put up great numbers in those starts, but based on that, he’s definitely an NFL QB, and it makes no sense for anyone to say that they don’t think or say that he wasn’t/isn’t/won’t be, or anything to that effect.
Started one this past season for the Packers iirc, too…
Even if you last 10 minutes, right? Ok, I can see your point.
Tune was there. He is in exclusive company.
Rudy played 1 down so he was a Notre Dame player
Yes, that is correct.
Didn’t the Packers cut him after the Cardinals cut him? juz askin…
I want Tune to be successful just as much as anybody else here.
I am curious to see what happens to Case Keenum. He signed a one year deal, that expires April 2026, and Chicago is not expected to re-sign him. Case has got to be close to retiring as a NFL player. Case turns 38 February 17, and there is limited demand for a 38 year old QB.
It will be fun watching Case’s next chapter unfold.
Case is 38 but a young 38 for the NFL partly because wasn’t out there getting the snot beat out of him every week. He is a guy who can do anything he wants, He can be effective as a coach, but is that what he wants for his future?
I can see Case following in his dad’s footsteps and go into coaching. I can also see him going into the ministry. I can also see him doing something else entirely.
Coaching is a worse grind than playing.
I recommend he goes fishing…
Actually he cold be cool with fishing for about 2 years.
Let see how smart the bears are.
Case was with the Texans and Stroud showed some real potential.
Since then Stroud looks lost out there.
Case with the Bears and Williams has shown some real potential. Prior to Case’s arrival Bears’ fans rightfully so thought Williams was a bust.
The nfl time and time again has proven to be a league that can make the dumbest decisions. How many franchises hire such and such because they “like” him. The bears want to be smart? They sign Case to a two years deal and a path to become their QB Coach then OC. That would be smart. Again, the nfl loves to make stupid decisions time and time again.
Seeing how CFB is with the portal and NIL, I won’t be surprised if Case coaches in the NFL.
