I will still blame you - just kidding.

I thought lots of elementary kids had Saturday afternoon sports like soccer leagues. Never hear about that interfering in football games. - Guess not American football so can’t interfere.

Heck free parking would have got me to UH baseball games this year.

Saturdays during the fall consists of pee wee football, youth soccer, youth volleyball, etc from what I have seen.

There was a time when I had to volunteer coach until noon and then head over to UH for the afternoon games.

A lot there. I just never understood why that never seemed to get as much complaints as Friday night football. Maybe an occasional complaint for the 11am kickoff times but that was it.

Friday nights is okay with me.
Thursday nights can be hard to game plan around.

Heck I rarely go to UH basketball games when they played on Thursday during our AAC days.

Sucks being in the Big 12, doesn’t it? Bring back Conference USA!

This 100%. You see it in basketball, too. Pre conference play games against the teams like of Jackson state always look bad from an attendance perspective.

College football season is still on during our basketball non-conference slate.

There were days when both UH football and basketball are playing on the same Saturday.

I always argued that college basketball should start in mid-December instead of mid-November.

Jackson State? :joy: they would draw better than most FBS teams and they average around 40k and that was before and after Deion - they don’t take many fbs games cause they do well at home

Part of our issues is we don’t do research and generalize but quick to make excuses

Hmmm….

I dunno.

We haven’t had particularly good attendance for our SWAC opponents.

I’ve been to some of those games.

I agree…our fans would view that as non competitive snore fest.

We need to schedule up…not down

Aggies show up despite who they play - why can’t we get like that? Why is everyone so opponent based?

I don’t know, but Aggiedom is a cult. I don’t know that anyone should compare themselves to them.

It’s what we should all aspire to be.

We should only schedule P4 teams in pre-season, so we get the **** kicked out of us and decimate our team. We really don’t need healthy 1st teamers when we hit the conference schedule. Maybe we could get with the mayor and police chief and have all or at least most traffic diverted for an hour prior to all week night games, so that those of us who live over 5 miles from campus can get to the games on time. Always looking for simple solutions.

I’m talking about our home games and our fan attendance. My point is that when we don’t have big names in the building, even as a top 5 team, we don’t fill our arena.

The big 12 schedule is tough enough at 9 games then we play 1 p4 then 2 easy . It’s what the sec does but as of now they only play 8 conf games.

We need some easy games which is 2 of 12 which is tough enough.
