Correct…maybe if it was high dollar game(for them) at Reliant to start year (aka…Oklahoma).
Typically, the bama’s of college football want 8 home games because they make so much from home games…

We have never beaten Alabama. Not once. Come close a couple of times including Saban’s first year. I am pretty sure that they would play us. They might even do a two for one. I would take such a deal for the exposure not to mention the money. Because I guarantee you they are not scared of us.

In those 8 games, I believe they came to the Dome (UH home) just once. It was when Bear Bryant was there.
I also was there.
As to the other guys issue, absolutley not… no one and done on the schedules.
They ain’t doin no 2 for 1 deals. Don’t kid yourselve. They don’t have to !!..and they know it.

Bama isn’t playing us they pay big checks to schoosl for body bag games. That’s not us anymore. Plus in terms of return games, we hold 0 cards. As EE said they don’t want and have no need to.
Not going to happen. It’s just like saying ATM and UT-Austin should play us.
We won’t ever play blue blood programs ever again unless we join a P5, play an NY6, or get to the CFP

I think our wild card is the Texas Kickoff. The Houston/OU game was their best rated so far from attendance and TV. Part of it was timing, but they also know the home team will pull now if they give them the stage. I could see another “home” Texas Kickoff/Blue Blood away deal happening. I’d be pushing hard for a fringe Blue Blood that’s on a couple cold years to do that deal now. Picture someone in the Miami/Nebraska/Tennessee/Florida range.

Case Keenum almost defeated Alabama his freshman year playing only 1 1/2 quarters of football because Blake Joseph started that 2007 game…see below:

I was at that game and thought sure we were going to pull it out. I am sure we could have had Case started and played the whole game.
