It was a 6 point game with 5:34 left when Chriss fumbled. And we were driving.

Chriss played his behind off all season with what he had. Point blank.
The fumble on 4th and 7 sticks out. I get it, but CWF just fired the OC that failed this team all season before the final game of the season.
If we had an OC worth of anything, then who knows how Chriss (or Donovan) would have developed over the course of an entire season.

Chris just needs better qb coaching.

He needs help from his own OL. We saw it again last night. Granted he made some bad decisions and throws but our OL has to be much better especially fundamentally better.

Yep, one final drive and we could have won it! Amazing, really, considering playing a real good BYU team in Provo is a tough deal. A good, hard playing finale.

Saw as many games as I could this year. Health issues stopped live ones. IMO we have quite a ways to go for next year, players on both sides of the ball, OC who actually is one, CWF getting his s*&# together and forming up a team that can be competitive in any game they play, not worrying about attendance or how many the other team brings, and finally get the team excited and players just antsy to get in the game. A big list, hope we can accomplish some, if not all, of them.
It was a funny game. BYU tried to keep us in it. Then we would return the favor.
I was not against the on side kick. But if the kicker is going to kick it right to a DB hands guy he better be willing to hit the turf to recover it. It was like he wanted to recover the ball but not at the expense of colliding with anyone. If you watch the replay he just steps off to the left and lets the guy free run at the ball. If he slides or dives in he either can get the ball or at least knock the other guy to the ground or slow him down.
We seemed hell bent on matching byu turnover for turnover.
That last drive I kind of wanted us to punt. There were about 5 min left so I get it. But if we could have held them one more time we had a chance. Hindsight is always 20/20.
Good exciting game.
And the OC called the best game all year. Dang if Chris’s could have hit that wheel route on 3rd and 7 on the last drive. He had him. Just overshot it a little.
