What do I think about the Southern game? It will be a good time that’s what I think. Easy win, home night game, cool halftime band performance, chatter about 2-0 ranked Houston going to 2-0 ranked TT in 6 days and do we have a chance to pull an upset, etc… honestly could be one of the most ‘fun’ parts of the season on Saturday night. Not often UH fans get to R-E-L-A-X and enjoy things in a low stress way on the football field.
Imo if we scheduled Southern and didn’t make it a REQUIREMENT that their band comes to play that is an epic fail.

We probably won’t be able to discern much against Southern but my biggest concern is our secondary.
They gave up way too many chunks of yardage against OSU and had multiple blown assignments.
Tighten that up & we should be good to go!
There’s literally no other reason to pay that team to come play here, as opposed to any other random non-con beatdown game.

AI Art has come a long way. I used to do these in Bing image generator and it took a few iterations to get the UH logo correct.
The only reason to play Southern or any other SWAC team is to gain an easy W.
Georgia Southern, whom we play on September 26, plays Clemson this week, so we’ll get a glimpse of their prowess.

Nor double digit penalities. Willie said we had 8 pre-snap penalities. He has a bugaboo about those especially, pre-snap and post-play are no-nos.

Not trying to highjack the thread but tech is gonna end up accidentally putting a lot on film to beat Oregon State. The Beavers do not care about showing too much. They will try to beat them and I’m crazy enough to believe they can.
On the flip side, we don’t have to do much vs Southern but run the ball. That gives us a headstart on the prep.
Go up by 4 scores and chew up the clock.

I believe he’s gonna cut Keisean loose to see every aspect of his skillset.
In other words, UH could be up by 30 at the half and when KH steps in, he’s gonna let it fly…

Beating the crap out of Southern is exactly what this team needs before heading to Lubbock.
And a good opportunity for the defense to gain some confidence back this week after giving up nearly 400 passing yards in the opener.

Georgia Southern is a FBS schools and competitive in the Sun Belt Conference. They wiill be playing UH at home. Can’t take them too lightly. Southern U. is a FCS school and was picked fifth in the SWAC preseason poll. NFL HOF RB Marshall Faulk is their HC.
