The way they are doing the concerts is stupid, you get a free QR code you have use at the George R Brown to get wristbands between the hours of 10a-3p on the day of the concert that you use to get in to the 7p concert at Shell Energy Stadium. Forces you to spend most of the day downtown for free concert tickets.

I know right, I would be skipping it and selling my wristbands on stubhub had UT been involved.
you’d end up having to wait all day in lines for the concert anyways. happened back in 2016 with the final four concerts. people were waiting all day in line for the shows at night
I think they did them at Discovery Green these will be in Shell Energy Stadium so they should be able to hold a much larger crowd, also the performers are B-List.

The city makes more money with out of town teams like it is with hotels etc.
UT would pull a 7 eleven and simply drive back to Austin so we make way more for the city without UT being cheap and driving back home lol
