Did anybody catch it?

Had to navigate my way through ESPN, but I found it.

Watching it now.

Having to suffer through a bunch of stuff about Arch Manning first…

Not sure these knuckleheads are gonna reveal anything about Connor that most of us aren’t already aware of.

The key takeaway is…

“Our Guy” is beginning to get more National Attention.

I saw Reese talking about him and the coogs in general earlier
It was great to here the pre game day build up
If he wins this game he will be in the heisman watch and discussion going forward
That’s basically what it sounded like to me
They can’t deny his stats or his 5 star pedigree
But coogs need to win or the house will come crashing down in terms of cfp and heisman talk

Yep, the Coogs need to win in Utah for Weigman to get any Heisman consideration & continue to be in CFP discussions…that’s just the reality :man_shrugging:t4:

I was in school when Andre got the Heisman.
We were on probation.
We were not on tv.
Constantly his stats were pushed aside as a system QB.
All of the Texas press was against Andre getting it.
Our SWC foes even made fun of us.
Game after game Andre kept producing and was lights out …the, yes the National press started turning around and little by little National writers got him over the finish line. Anywhere else Andre would have won by a landslide. To the dismay of the rest of Texas Ware is the Heisman was Andre’s. David was robbed of his. To this day his numbers vs Detmer’s are for everyone to see.
Conner’s run so far mirrors Andre’s run. He is finally getting some National attention and so is our program. I posted the espn Weigman’s piece on Conner’s appreciation thread. Here it is again.

Glad to see Weigman is getting the attention he deserves, he is joining the list of other great quarterbacks that have played here. I really like that he is happy to be here and is such a good representative for The University.

Josh Pate was on ESPN Get Up and pondered if UH beat Utah and the B12 had two undefeated teams, BYU and Texas Tech, and two one loss teams, UH and Utah, would the CFP favor those teams over 3 loss SEC teams?

Utah couldn’t have only 1 loss they play BYU too.

Yes, that is the popular whiny whinge of too many talking heads and the continuation of the ever-present propaganda that the SEC is an insurmountable juggernaut.

If the CFP favors a three loss SEC team over a one loss B12 team, the creditability of the CFP goes down the porcelain.

This committee has no shame. BCS is better!

What he should be addressing is if the Big12 has 4 “1-loss” teams, do they get in ahead of SEC “2-loss”teams.

It’s almost as if they’re trying to set the expectation that a 2-loss SEC team is “obviously” more deserving than a Big12 1-loss team…

…which is garbage, in and of itself.

Q: Why are they taking that approach?

A: Because that’s already becoming the reality.

It has already lost all credibility. With the current cfp no teams with two losses should make the cfp.

Great point and that is unacceptable. This is espn way of preparing the general public that the gazillions teams at large will all be big10 and sec teams.
I am going to repeat myself for the billionth times. This was never about sport. This has always been about money.

I hope we make it and play the sorriest team available.

I hope the Coogs make it and beat SEC teams all the way to the Title.

Better yet…

Beat Alabama, beat Ohio State, and beat Miami.
