I don’t know who should be more embarrassed - Dana Holgerson or Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine? In the summer edition the magazine ranked Holgerson’s team as the #1 college team in Texas, ahead of Baylor, A&M, UTSA, and UT, etc. The quarterback section named Clayton Tune as the #1 quarterback and a Heisman possibility. Heck! Even the AP poll had the Cougars ranked # 17. These first 3 games have been a MESS. We’ve been totally out coached, out played, out motivated, and frankly…outclassed! We could very easily be 0-3. It is becoming painfully apparent…Holgerson is NOT the man.

Are probably better. Only way Dana gets can soon like Scott Frost is if he loses against Rice which I don’t see it happening.

The hype was a fair guess. What wasn’t factored was how much our coaches took their foot off the pedal to develop our players. They all took the hype for granted and thought they were already world beaters. Dana, Belk and Dawson went out drinking a ton with the riches Pezman was foolish enough to pay them after a single good season.

I love his loyalty but from the stadium operations, weak marketing, and his lack of good judgement on coaches, I don’t know if he has what it takes.
Much of his successes were either inherited or due to Tilman running to the rescue.

We are all frustrated because we should have been good. There was no reason to expect lesser than last season. Talent level improved and a ton of experience was returning. Schedule is easy on paper too. Secondary was the only group I thought would took a step back but felt Belk could ramp them up to be respectable.
Folks… It is truly an issue of coaching.
Yes. He’s a good guy and a good Coog but you gotta be on top of things to run this type of operation. UH is a hands-on job. Making the call to remove Applewhite was Pezman’s high water mark IMO. Operations doesn’t seem to be his sweet spot.
Arguably better than TT since we lost in 2OT at their place.
