And regardless how competitive Texas high school recruiting is, proximity to talent still greatly benefits Houston relative to many of its Group of 5 peers.

Fans are weary of seeing coaches leave so quickly for bigger jobs, but it’s actually a compliment to the program.

7 of the top 10 are AAC schools

There is little doubt that the AAC is the “best of the rest.” Or that UH is the best football program in the AAC. What that means from a recruiting point of view is that a player on the UH football team has as good of a chance of playing in a NY6 game as one playing for a Top 5 P5 program.

Wish somehow that BYU, Boise St & CSU would join the AAC. That would be a fun conference

BYU and Boise to AAC for football only is the homerun.

Throw SDSU in too and that is a legitimate conference…

Sounds good, but that puts the AAC at 15. I know Colorado St and Air Force would be interested, so - if the AAC goes that route - pick the teams that give us the best 16-team conference. I’m still not sure BYU would join.
