Rumor that Pez said something ‘inappropriate’ at a school gathering Thursday (June 19 2024). Any clues about what it was and could it have got him canned?

Some older dude on one of the Coogs House FaceBook Groups alluded that Pezman made an “inappropriate” comment during that meeting, but didn’t elaborate or describe what was said.

Exactly, which is why I wanted to preemptively state that it was a joke.
Basically, UH football peaked in 2016 and we’ve been struggling ever since to get back on track.
I wouldn’t say just UH but UH’s path to being a traditional campus peaked in 2016…that’s not all on Pez

Our coach got hired away and the momentum and passion that he emanated went with him. It’s all about winning though. Especially in Big 12 football. Win and especially win against our in state rivals and things will look up again for athletics.

I wasn’t a fan of Kiffin’s at the time, but hiring Major over him that year was a brutal decision. Kiffin likely would have been just as big as Herman before departing, and maybe Dana has a better roster when he first starts
The guy that’s now the AD at Arkansas as well as the guy that’s now the head coach at Texas Tech are two huge reasons for that decision.

I agree…we were a desirable job right after Herman left.
Yes Kiffin would have done what Herman did to us but only after raising the bar that much higher and keeping the momentum.
Why Tilman was so stubborn to understand THAT is the formula that works is beyond me!
Instead he hires back to back coaches that weren’t able to motivate anyone and definitely not promote the program.
Applewhite was as bland of a personality as you get plus he was a Longhorn

UH should have promoted DC Todd Orlando to HC, if it was going to hire from within. Our defense wouldn’t have dropped off like it did after Major hired that clown. Maybe Major would have been better as the OC (even without Herman looking over his shoulder). Due to scandal he was unhireable at UT. If not, we could have bankrolled a quality OC and had good coaching on both sides of the ball.
