What does it take to become #1 seed overall for MARCH MADNESS?

Would rather not play at that altitude.

Lots of negative comments about Bama & how they are not playing as well since the “Miller” thing! 2 of the #1 seeds both lost today, we beat Memphis on the road tomorrow, I like how this could play out!

So the overall 1 gets to pick their 1st weekend games and region. TBH the main reason I care about being 1 overall is to see where Kelvin picked to play.

I’m not saying they deserve to be ranked over us, just saying they clearly deserve a 1. Probably not the Kansas City 1 though.

Houston has done everything it can so far to be the #1 overall seed. If they win their tourney it will be criminal if the committee doesnt give it to em.

That’s a bit of a homer take. We’ve put ourselves in great position but we do have blemishes. Other teams are also in great position but have their own blemishes. I wouldn’t be offended if we don’t get it.

Winning today was big but with Purdues win over Illinois today the margin of error is still pretty slim. We may need to pull for Oregon in the semis against UCLA in the Pac tourney.

I agree with that. Bracket may be “done” by Saturday

So if we lose in 1st or 2nd round of AAC tournament, could have an impact on our seed

But AAC Championship game, if we make it there, i think we’re fine.

And Obviously Purdue and UCLA have to win out to put any pressure on us

If we win the Conference Tourney and KU, Alabama, and Purdue all get beat by 100 points we have a chance. But still, I wouldn’t bet on it; somehow UCLA might jump us.

Drake looks pretty tough. Should we add them to the list of teams we don’t want to play?

I don’t see Alabama winning the SEC. If Alabama doesn’t make the final and if Kansas makes the Big XII final, I think Kansas gets the #1 seed and we get #2. Provided we make the tournament final.

Once we get to the Big XII, we need to move to get the Big XII conference tournament out of Kansas City.

They won’t be a 16 seed. If they get to play Iowa State on the R64 thats 1 relatively easy upset call like Bama losing in the R64 last year was

Losing to Cinci which is a Q2 loss would have no effect either.

At this rate it would take a blowout loss to ECU/USF for us to not be a lock for a 1 seed

We will not be the number one seed overall. Kansas in a lock. UCLA should be the 4th seed.

Yeah, no way we get the number one overall since we laid an egg to Temple but the most likely scenario is the 1 line being Kansas, Alabama, Houston, Purdue in that order imo

I don’t understand how Kansas is a lock for number 1 overall.

We were number 2 overall in the top 16 bracket reveal. And we haven’t lost since.

How many overall #1s have won the tournament? I’m not sure being the overall #1 has that big of an impact versus just being one of the #1s.

It is a low percentage for sure

Right now we have 4 Quad 1 wins, with today’s win

Will it impact seeding this late? No. But when they show our resume on Selection Sunday, the more Quad 1 wins the better. In terms of national respect

UCF, Cincinnati, need them to be under 75 in the NET

Both had 20 pt wins on Sunday, so hopefully move up in the NET.

Me thinks UCF gets that jump but Cinci needs to also win vs Temple by around 12 or so then keep it close vs us again for that

Tulane has probably erased 3 potential conference Q1 games this year too smh
