Damn… Fabs should’ve had 11… Damn you Jordan Poole!!!
A great run this year could thrust Jamal into the top spot.
And correct me if I’m wrong, but Jamal and J’Wan both have another year of eligibility should they choose to return.
They have a COVID year… $head is gone after this year imo…
I agree, if they make another run this year, not sure what more Shead can do in college.
was one of those two games the “socks” game ? ? ? ? ?
Alcorn State and Boston College.
Gettys shot 10-10 free throws vs BC.
They also played one fewer round back then.
Dream, Young, Micheaux all played on three final four teams. We have been to one final four since
IMO we are still far, far from the Phi Slama Jama days. We are on the right track especially being part of the BIG12.
I just thought of what UH could be with a Sampson backcourt, take your pick of Q, Sasser, Robinson and Shead and then put them together with PSJ’s Drexler, Young and Olajuwon.
As Olajuwon used to say: “unbeatable”.
That might have been a Final Four run as well. We would have crushed the Aggies next game.
How is it that the 3 PSJ final four teams all played 5 games (4-1) but only the last two made the championship game?
Seems like the Rob team should have played one less than the Franklin teams.
Only 48 teams in 1982, 52 in 1983, and 53 in 1984. So some teams got byes.
We were an 8 seed in 1982, so we didn’t get a bye. So ended up playing five in 1982 to get to semis.
Got byes in 1983 and 1984, so played five to get to the finals.
To be honest, I didn’t know this–had to look it up because you raised a good question.
Thank you!
