At no point have I said he’s not coming. Someone mentioned he might not be coming and I was laying out a reason he might not be jumping ship right away. I don’t know crap outside of what I get on the board. And another guy thought I meant coming here as our OC so I clarified my statement.
I know you’re way more plugged in than I am, so yeah you may actually know what’s going on, but I wasn’t even talking about him coming or not. Just laying out a reason he might be considering staying in response to a different post.
Side note: If Mhiver is saying it nevermind it’s about as done deal of him coming as can be. Dude is never right

Well I can see where this going between you and I. So I guess we can stop flirting at this point.

Facilities, we are ahead with the indoor practice facility, but Memphis has done some great things with the Liberty Bowl Committee. Their locker room is second to none and they have added chairback seats. They have invested in basketball. Their budget is comparative and Memphis is a great location with great weather.
Fickell is the best coach in this conference, and that is taking into account Holgorsen. The jury is still out on Heupel, but he put together a great staff and went undefeated. I would put him up there equal to Holgorsen.
In the end, the West is us or Memphis most years. The East is going to be Cincy or UCF, with Temple challenging.

Fickel has 1 year of HC experience and he is the best in the conference? Over Dana? Okay.

Fickel has 3. He was 6-7 at Ohio St, 4-8 last season, and 11-2 this year. Technically he was interim at Ohio St and wasn’t expected to coach the whole season, but it’s hard to ignore he gave them their worst season in the last 30 years with two 12 win seasons book ending his year there. Last season at Cincy was ugly with 3 FBS wins by a combined 6 points. I give him a lot of credit for this season, but the jury is still out on him for sure.
Didn’t realize this was his second year at Cincy. They were terrible last season.
Tuberville left that program in shambles.

Cincy is back to 2nd in the east for a while in my opinion. Would love for WVU to end that momentum by poaching Fickell.
