What would a Dana Holgorsen-UH staff look like?

Deforest can recruit. Worth bringing in for Special teams, etc and maybe an Assistant HC tag.sort of like CTL had under Sumlin

Interesting, they’ve been right with everything on this whole thing so far.

That sure is easy money and a low bar for CDH. For 20 million my expectations are conference championships and NY6 games 3 or 4 out of 5 years.

Bringing Tony’s 2013 gang back.

If Travis Bush is mentioned for a spot, we should probably start to worry.

Lol, I’m good with Gibbs and Meach. Maybe we can convince Spav too.

Spav’s busy helping his brother out over in San Marcos.

But, I imagine we’ll see a lot of crossover from the Sumlin and Levine staffs. Holgo did work with Tony under Summie.

Anything on Carrier? Holgorsen brought him in 2016, I hope he wants to follow CDH back to Houston. Great guy, here is what he did when joined WV.

I’ve heard reports he’s coming, but nothing that’s 100% yet.

4 of those 5 teams are in the east. We should be in the conference championship over 50% of the time. Tulane, Tulsa, and Navy will not be in competition aside from once every 5-10 years random good team. SMU has not shown it can compete either. Memphis is the real competition, but we hold advantages over them in facilities, budget, location, etc. This year we didn’t even have to beat Memphis to win the west and still couldn’t do it.

Interesting comment about better coaches than Holgorsen. You make it seem like all the teams you listed have a better HC. How many do you think are better? Surely not Strong, Temple has no coach, Luke Fickell failed at Ohio St and has 1 good year at Cincy, Heupel wasn’t as good as an OC and only has 1 year to show (very impressive though), Norvell has 0 conference championships and is 0-3 in bowls, struggled this year.

I just read on Twitter three WV coaches want to stay, including Carrier. We’ll see how that goes.

You only stay if you have a job. Seems odd that Carrier would not make the move with him.

Depending on who they hire this maybe Carrier’s shot at the OC gig. Can’t blame him for trying to man that sounds of it’s possible.

No hard feeling if it’s true, he probably wants to stay with his guys, he has a long career ahead of him

If Carrier wants the OC gig he can do it somewhere else. Our OC needs to be a proven guy like Meech, or Harrell. If we can get poached so can smaller fish like UNT

Not true

Why would he want to stay without knowing the new coach when the only HC he’s ever worked for heads to his alma mater? Doesn’t make sense to me.

I was referring to him wanting to stay at WVU. But it all depends on who they hire. It’s a big gamble if that’s his plan. If it pays off that’s awesome for him, if not he could find himself taking a demotion elsewhere or being unemployed for a little bit.

You are flapping your gums. Please stop

Everything I’ve read indicates he’s coming here.
