The Houston Chronicle reports that the University of Texas will have the corporate logo Humann on their football field this season. This is the latest way schools can generate additional revenue. A little backgound, courtesy of Perplexity AI:
Either change with the times or get left behind. With a city the size of Houston, there should be no shortage of corporate partners that want their logo on UH’s John O’Quinn Field.
Can’t wait until I can attend a game at Landry’s/Golden Nugget Field at TDECU Stadium to watch the FanDuel Houston Dr. Pepper Cougars presented by Allstate. We’re gonna maximize revenue so hard.
My understand is Learfield pays Texas $30 million a year. Then they sell advertising to make profit (such as the Humann deal). UH absolutely needs to get in on the action and use a significant portion of what they can get for NIL. Humann is on every playing field/court for UT sports.
