Lauren Sampson said in an interview that the basketball team is superstitious and they lost wearing the Houston Blue unis last year and put them in the closet for the rest of the season. I will be curious to see if they make an appearance this year.
If you want to look at it positively. We lost to Tech but made it to the final.

There is less of an argument for the basketball team to wear Houston blue, since most fans associate Houston blue with the Houston Oilers. I wonder what the comparison of Houston Blue merch sold in football vs basketball?
