Women’s Golf Regional Tournament

Any updates on the day? I can’t find a broadcast.
I see Golf Channel is showing individual championship on Monday/Tuesday, guess just not the early rounds?

Coogs are in 20th place with 1st round complete. They shot 6 over par. Goal is to be Top 15 by end of Sunday. They move on if they are.

4 strokes out of 15th currently. One hole, a par 5, really hurt them. Not in bad shape at all to at least move on.

In 20th, which means UH is in excellent position going into round 2. They will have an attacking gameplan the next two days. Both are moving days, setting up a spot in match play.

Today, the ideal goal is to get within the 3rd round cutline (top 15), tomorrow get within the 4th round cutline (top 8). Then use the final round of stroke play to position yourself to face the team you want first in match play.

Looks like Okie St and Iowa St are both showing up.

Your ladies are killing it. -5 halfway through the back nine.

They are a very good squad. Watched them quite a bit in the B12 tourney. Solid all the way through. Rivera is the real deal, only her second year.

Houston golf: Cougars women’s team has international flavor

Potluck dinner includes a sample of cuisine from all over for the University of Houston women’s golf team.

“We’ve had everything from pigs in a blanket to Swedish meatballs, kimchi and everything else,” UH golf coach Lydia Lasprilla said. “I feel we’ve got the whole world covered.”

The Cougars’ roster represents just about every corner of the globe, with seven of the eight players from outside the U.S. They come from Czech Republic, Sweden and Mexico. England, Finland and Italy. The one outlier — junior Maelynn Kim from Katy’s Seven Lakes.

Have you seen their practice facilities?
