Do a certain number advance or just the winner?

Top 5 from each regional.

We had two bogey-free rounds today - no other team even had one. Impressive.

We’re on the struggle bus today, but we should remain safely in the top 5 - outside chance at the top spot, but it seems unlikely right now. Va Tech is in 6th at -4.

Lord i hope they don’t choke it away again

Finished in 2nd at -11.

So glad they finally got over the hump. I was going to comment yesterday that they need to finish strong because that is something we don’t do in postseason. Threw together a couple tables to show how we’ve been struggling. Luckily for us we built a big enough cushion but they need to figure out the finishing rounds.

Two positives that I like and you are correct that they need to figure out the final round. First positive obviously is they are moving on the The National Championship for the first time. The second is finishing ahead of Big 12 Champion Iowa State. We remember Iowa State overtaking us on the final day of the Big 12 Championship. Today, Iowa State moved ahead of us with a few holes left and we came back, overtook Iowa State and finished 2nd. Moving on in positive fashion.

How bout that @RezClone. How do the Cyclone ladies golf in mud and snow?

Good question. Idk, I guess?

I still haven’t golfed yet this year. I do a men’s league on Thursdays. It’s more like a drinking league with some somewhat decent golf accidentally happening sometimes tho.

Golf school… once again.

Congrats to the squad especially all the seniors for making school history!

I’d never really gotten to know Emilia Väistö, the Finnish transfer from Mercer, but did so this week. Väistö is probably the longest woman’s player I’ve ever met. Averages 285-290 off the tee.

She has struggled on the greens some and with her mental approach to them. She spent 30-40 minutes with me on the putting green on Monday, explaining her routine and where she thinks she can improve. She’s shy but damn competitive.

She should be the #2 player next year behind Maelynn Kim.

That would be a helluva 1-2 punch. Kim has plenty of hardware yet to collect.
