Worst loss in UH history

Some will argue other games because we were supposedly superior to the team we lost to. Statistically I think this is worst. One for the record books.

UH records
Tied for largest margin of defeat with 1997 UCLA 66-10
Tied for most offensive points allowed (multiple times)
2nd most total points allowed - 1st 72 vs SMU 2012
Most rushing yards allowed 507 - previous was 445 vs Louisville in 2003
Most rushing TDs allowed 8 - previous record 7 two times
Tied for most TDs allowed - 9 multiple times
Opponent 3rd down conversion 100% - dont know previous but cant be higher. Only attempts could be
Pass completion rate - 100% (ok only 4 passes)
Most rushes for 1st down 26 - previous record 24 vs Rice in 1994
There are possibly individual records, but I couldnt find those easily

FBS records
Tied for largest bowl margin of defeat
Tied for bowl most points allowed

How a defense can give up 70 points to a rushing offense boggles the mind(mine anyway). The announcers said they didn’t think Army was trying to run up the score and I agree. UH just couldn’t stop them. My worst fears came true today.

That 2012 smoo game kept popping in my head today. Last one I can remember feeling like this.

Any truth to the rumor that Sampson is making Applewhite move his office to the old Fingers warehouse across the street?

Funny, except not sure why Sampson would have any say in Applewhite’s office.

We’re a basketball school now.

The veer scored 100 … maybe it’s karma … and to think we were 7/1 at one point …

This loss didn’t feel as bad as some of the more recent bad losses (Texas State, UTSA) because I was expecting a loss.

The only thing worse than this would be a lose to…say…Coppin State. God Forbid.
