Xavier - postgame thoughts

Liked what i saw from Jojo. Needs to stay out of foul trouble, please!

Damian Dunn is in a funk. Hoping he can snap out of it. Will need him vs A&M. Just overdribbling a ton

Shead and Cryer are going to being playing alot!

With them out of the game this offense doesn’t flow. Shead can’t get in foul trouble. No matter how dumb the refs are

Good win in a tough environment.

Feel free to share yours…

Screw that dirt bag Sean Miller. Proud of the way the guys competed and overcame one of the best home courts in America. Defense was sensational in the final 5 minutes.
Great job by Shead defending without fouling late. 10 blocks….love

Need to get Damian Dunn back to his usual self. He is an amazing FT shooter and very good at getting to the line.

Dunn doesn’t look good as he did early in the season. Is it because we are against better competition recently? Or is he in a rut? Hopefully the latter.

His FTs have to be him overthinking

Stressful. Tonight was like every night on the road in B12.

Rice, Jackson State, TX AM at Toyota next.

Dunn will be fine. He is mature and will reload.

Certainly didn’t FEEL like we shot 68% from the line. But we made them when they counted

Glad we got the win. Terrible game to watch (thank you refs).

If mylik isn’t going to play CKS needs to find a way to keeps shead’s minutes down somehow. He won’t last playing like he played tonight through conference, conference tournament, and NCAA’s

That place is always tough for anyone to play at and the crowd was a factor.

But when you shoot the ball in the low 30’s% and still get out of there with a win it’s a good day.

It’s nice when you can shoot horribly and your defense still gives you a shot at the win.

Nothing to do with the competition….think about how he played against us in the past.

I personally think he’s still trying to find his role on this team….although I could be wrong.

Did Dunn start? Personally I think he is better off the bench.

The Refs were abysmal. Beyond pitiful.

One of the worst road game crews we have seen in a while.

I think Roberts could be better offensively. He had good looks but needs them to drop and maybe come up with some spin moves. He could be a force down low.

We played well enough to win on the road against a good opponent.

That’s what we do. We win.

UH has played in 2 hostile environments. In Charleston, SC where the crowd was mostly Dayton fans and in Cincinnati against Xavier. These were good games to give UH experience playing before hostile crowds.

The game tonight was about surges by both teams. I thought UH’s aggressive defense forced some Xavier turnovers late, which made a difference at the end of the game.

UH was in foul trouble early and CKS was masterful in managing the minutes of his players.

The offense going completely flat after the U16 in both halves is very concerning

Pleased by the defense holding X to 60 in spite of the parading to the line and us actually nailing crunch time free throws for once

Good chance we have 2, maybe 3 Q1 wins when NET comes out on Monday

With him and Dan Hurley it’s like man every good Big East team is coached by a jerk. I like Thad Matta though, what a great hire by Butler.
