What? Irresponsible reporting by Duarte? Who would have ever thought that would ever happen — I mean besides most everyone?

The guy is on a campaign with an agenda that is anti UH.

“The dramatic uptick in positive tests, according to the source, has been attributed to a party bus that members of the team were on after last Saturday’s season-opening win against Arkansas State.”

Looking like it’s true.

They think they got it from a party bus that they got after the win over Arkansas.
They should forfeit and take the loss if they’re that stupid.

They can forfeit or field a team, yes I’m harsh

I read that the Big 12 plans to have quick response Covid-19 tests for gameday.

Perhaps something like that could be done here. As long as none of the players that show up to the stadium that day are positive, then perhaps the game could still be played, though Memphis would be in a huge depth disparity.

Yes, so stupid to party after a solid win. We never did that in college.

During a pandemic where you’re forced to follow a set of rules?

mark giannatto the memphis beat writer (just on the radio), who is backing the story, says his sources didnt actually give him exact numbers, but that he doubts te game will be played…
says the aac doesnt have a forfeit rule

says the only simple option is moving houston vs tulane 1 week earlier (both have the same byes that week) and then putting houston memphis, on the tulane week…almost every other option involves cancelling games

says its almost exclusively defensive players …might be related to someones birthday but says that unverified

Looks to me like the “authorities” have a credibility problem. I’m certain their answer to that problem will be over the top to “show these wayward youths once and for all”.

We should have joined the Big 10…look like we will start playing with them for teams forfeiting.

So no tuneup game for BYU?

We still have UNT…for now…

Yep, Eve is going to be the downfall to college sports as she was to Adam.

Does being on a “party bus” mean the players were out partying…or do all players ride in “party buses” after games?

True. I wasn’t even looking at the schedule. lol

Neither, according to giannato. It’s was an actual party bus

A bus you rent that just drives around and you party inside it
It was on the players time, it wasnt organized by the school
