AAC Media Day July 15-16

Now it’s just a rumor that UCONN’s entire football roster is going to get on a bus to Newport and do some transfer speed dating with the other 11 AAC coaches.

That was funny. :joy:

I like how the players notice a difference and basically say its night and day. You want that type of assurance 50 days out.

Call it Pure American or AAC Complete

I can’t pull it up at the moment but Lincoln Riley did bring up Houston in his press conference

On the season opener against Houston

“Houston is a really good football team. Has been a really good program for the last several years, have a lot of respect for the players they have, one of the best returning quarterbacks in the country, without a doubt, and a lot of talented players around him. I’ve got a ton of respect for Coach Holgorsen. We have known each other for a long time. We’ve coached against each other here for a number of years. He does a tremendous job. He has at all the stops, and I am sure he will do so at Houston. I’m sure it will be a tough opener for us.”

What? Is this the same Tulane so many on here want to boot because they aren’t any good?

That is saying a lot without saying anything.

Who picked SMU to finish first? Even if it happened, those aren’t bragging rights I’d want to have

Pretty weak west when Tulane is picked for 3rd and smu 4th.
Maybe Navy suprises. Never really know about them until we see how they play.

Cincinnati will be the USF of this year. We will show how they are overrated when they come to to2n.

Pretty fair breakdown prior to the season.

What I remember from morning sessions:

Aresco: AAC is not actively seeking out a 12th member. Feels conference is strong at 11. Has talked to B10 about playing with 11 since they did it for 20 years. Said 2 permanent + 6 rotating is a possibility.

King: Asked least favorite roady in AAC. Answered SMU no hesitation. Asked what opponent is the biggest for you. Answered UCF no hesitation.

One of the OU guys we follow called Riley’s Big 12 media day “coachspeak on steroids” and after reading that quote I’m inclined to agree.

This couldn’t be more wrong.

For the record I think we can beat Cincy, but they’re a good, nasty team however you look at them.

Okay now I’m sure that is not what Stevenson looks like. To be blunt, I have ask, is he out of shape?

SMU would be my one sleeper vote. Shane Buechele does not have the weapons as King, but they
always give us fits and they finally have a good fit for a coach coach in Dykes. Morris always wanted greener pastures and go it in Arkansas.
