The receiver is fast. Not much about his recruiting with offers from Illinois and a few AAC type schools (UConn, mcneese, New Mexico State, UNLV and Utep). More recruiting profiles on him in track. 11.8 hundred meter kid.
Mike Welch was a finalist for the Offensive POY touchdown club of Houston. Not sure why he is not graded out and only had offers from Incarnate Word, Sam Houston and SFA.
Khiyon had a PR 23.22 200 meter last spring and was part of the 4x100 team as well.
Track athlete.
I’m sold.
Khiyon runs a 4.4 according to social media …

I thought something bad happened to fred couples for a second.
Nice! Non golf followers may be scratching the noggin.
That would be me.
Hehe. I’m going to let you figure it out, n get back to us. #BoomBoom
Edit: Couples n myself are 1 day apart in age. Both born Oct 1959.
You must mean 10.8. 11.8 is a good HS girls time.
23.22 is not a fast 200m time.

It is what he posted. Not me.
I don’t think a 200 time has much relevance in football. It may be a good measure of conditioning level though.
If he’s a 4.4 forty yard guy and an 11.8 in the 100m, then our conditioning coaches have some work to do. But it’s totally fixable.
11.8 and 23.2 are not impressive times, at all.
That can’t be correct.
If he’s 4.4 in the 40, he can definitely improve in the 100 and 200. Carl Lewis said last year that the techniques he and Leroy teach can make anyone faster. But not everyone can be fast, as in a world class sprinter.
So to go from 4.4 without starting blocks to 11.8 with blocks is miserable and can be corrected with proper coaching and conditioning.
And, we don’t need fabulous 200 runners in football. But if he is going to be a WR, he needs to be in good enough shape so his 100 time is comparable to a 4.4 time in the 40 yard.
Smoke Terrell was supposedly a 4.9 40 yard guy and we could see from his limited playing last year that he’s faster than that.
Personally, I think the 100 and 200 times may have been typed wrong on whatever social media source they originated on. From his video, he looks legit 4.4 in the 40. In any case, it’s the coaches problem now so I’m just going to leave it to them to figure out.
