He must be good because he doesnā€™t look that tall for a power forward.

I was thinking the same thingā€¦ PF is a SG body!!

6ā€™5,6ā€™6 basically but his wingspan is crazy. Draymond type player and trash talker.

Heā€™s also extremely athletic and looks strong.

Our best PSJ teams had 6ā€™ 6" Clyde Drexler & 6ā€™ 6" Michael Young starting at the forward spots.

Those guys were actual guards. This man is a true power forward :muscle:. A better athlete and more physically gifted Bonzi Wells. Iā€™ll take it!

I wanted to say Bonzie Colson but Wells would work too.

Just donā€™t let @CoogLawyer into this conversationā€¦ He may want a 6ā€™8+ power forward :grimacing::grimacing::joy:

Robbie isnā€™t a PFā€¦ he tags himself big guard on his own highlightā€¦ and Iā€™m pretty sure he is hoping to be a Hinton like player for us,

Well from everything I hear is that his game is more power forward oriented. And if you go by his highlights itā€™s mostly dunks or close range shots. Hardly any jump shots in sight never mind a 3 pt shot.

Hopefully he expands his game to the perimeter more consistently and becomes as good as Hinton was his Soph. year at UH.

Saying thatā€¦ I think he is strong enough at 6-6 and explosive to become a star player in AAC playing inside as a PF with a 3 pointer here or there.

Only time will tell.

Looks to be a Nate hinton type guy to me too if he can slim down, add more speed and solid jumper.

Only if he was 6ā€™9 lol.

Chuck Hayes had a decently long NBA career as a 6ā€™6" PF. Obviously never an all star, but Chuck had zero offensive game. If youā€™re built like a tree trunk and know how to position your body, you can certainly be a good PF at 6ā€™6".

he actually regularly shoots it, they just normally arent highlight worthy but here are some non big high highlights

when he commited he never said hintons name but talked about how houston players ā€œand then described hintonā€ (being a dog, grabbing rebound, versital scorer) and said he could see himself doing that,
also his handles are a weakness, similar to ramon walkerā€¦both have said they hope to improve their handles before they get here and continue to improve when they arrive

him and ramon are wings not power forwards

Ramon Walker can shoot itā€¦ He just tends to play a bit too much one on one basketball being the Alpha of his Shadow Creek team. But he can come in and be a solid 3 and D guy right now. But heā€™ll get better as he hasnā€™t even started his senior year of basketball season.

you didnt watch any of the 7 clips i just posted??? robbie can shoot it

so we are clearā€¦talking spot catch and shoot 3s ramon likely has higher percentages. but robbie has drastically better handlesā€¦and drastically better at creating his own 3s off the bounce
both clearly have things to develop in the guard departmentā€¦ but how you are choosing to classify one as a pf and one as a wing makes little sense at all

Who can forget the ā€œRound Mound of Rebound,ā€ Charles Barkley?

Wasnā€™t he like a 6ā€™4ā€ power forward?

I know this isnā€™t the gospel but Snow talked as if he will be an undersized PF. I think we will know more when he signs and CKS can speak on him. He has better ball skills than Walker who is a true 3 & D player. Seems like Armbrester will be a playmaker not matter what he plays.

Exactly my point. Kid looks like 6ā€™6 220 already naturally stocky liked built with a long wingspan and athleticism to boot. Imagine how big he will be in a year from nowā€¦? 230 ?? on tip top shape after Bishop gets a hold on him. I think power forward may be his college position. But for the sake of an NBA career, he will need to develop a consistent 3 pt shot for the NBA as a Sf.

Dude is talented (top 150) so heā€™ll be successful in college. Itā€™s just a matter of what position heā€™ll play is the discussion here.

I think coach Sampson sees a lot of Ced Alley on this kid body wise and may play him at Pf liked he did Alley just because of his strengths in his game.

With due respect to Alley, Armbrester comes in with more skilled on the inside.
