He’s in my 3rd period class. I think he’ll be a great player for us. He has mad skills. And once he gets in the weight program and puts on 20+ pounds of muscle—he’s really thin—I think you’ll really see him blossom. Tramon, Shead, Sasser, and Mills are very possibly going to give us one of the best group of guards in the country in a couple of years.

Given that he’s in your class, I assume that he’ll have no trouble maintaining academic eligibility, right?

Does that mean he thinks everyone is staying?? Even I dont think that.

One has to leave as it stands now. If everyone came back, we would be at 14.

I would imagine Jarreau is probably gone, too. If those two leave, we will have Hinton, Mills, Sasser, Mark, and Shead. A very good guard rotation. We’ll also have White, Gorham, Gresham, Alley, Roberts, and Powell in our front court. There would really be no reason to sign another 2020 guy, even with 1 open. Unless a stud becomes available late and wants to be at Houston.

Where are they going ?

Maybe CKS should have Brooks come back for quick expose on dime a dozen agents.

We’d likely look at a grad transfer if two guys left. Want to keep those spots open for future classes.

Unless a guy like Grimes came available and there was mutual interest.

Tramon looks more polished every time.

I was in a similar boat. That said, Brooks seems to have found his role and excelled. I have also heard good things about him developing our bigs, specifically Breon Brady and Chris Harris. Maybe he is the CBB equivalent of the guys that are great coordinators but not HC material.

What is Tramon Mark’s height and weight? I’ve seen him listed from 6’4" - 6’6" and never read about his weight. He appears to have a big wingspan, perhaps he is still growing? Has CKS or Lil’ Sampson or any other assistant coach indicated what spot(s) they envision him playing? Is he a 1 - 3 player? Can he switch from the 1 to 2 to 3? What does the coaching staff say about his defense? Just curious because once he steps on campus, CKS will preach defense, defense, defense, rebounding, rebounding, rebounding. To those that respond with shared info, thanks.

Go Coogs. Peace.

his current listed height is 6’6…everything that says 6’4 hasnt been updated in years…his real height is likely 6’5.5 -ish (will be our tallest guard even if grimes and dejon stayed)
weight is unknown …
he is still growing but likely not by much (just turned 18)…

he was recruited as a combo guard, who will mostly run the 2, but will see some time at the one …he can play 1 through 4 .(note samspon recruits only guards that have the capability to play pg, with some exceptions if they are extremely touted/talented)

a little soft on the defensive side, but his extreme height with long arms by default make him a good defender

Mark is a point guard. We have been lacking in consistancy at the point this year until Grimes started filling that role. Most seem to be assuming Grimes and Jarreau will be going pro after this season which will means the position is open if that turns out to be true. I think I am correct that Sasser assumes the PG role when he and Caleb are on the floor together

Mark may be “a little soft on the defensive side,” according to pesek. I don’t worry about that because CKS will take care of that.

I would reaaalllly be happy if Grimes came back for one more year (or until graduation for that matter). Regardless, I see Sampson building a real power here. I am truly thinking we will be dancing every year and making deep runs regularly. I feel a National Championship in a few years.
