Cincy attendance

If you think amateur athletes owe you something then you don’t understand college sports.

If you have kids, that is exactly where you should be regardless of how well the Coogs are playing.

This game’s attendance and the concession/ticket issues are intertwined. We have waited decades for a new stadium. This is OUR jewel and we have recurring ticket issues, recurring concession stands issues.

It is not just UH, the entire NCAA BCS is having attendance problems.
Texas Tech students are leaving in droves after halftime. Tech fan site had a thread discussing the blue blood programs and how they get most of the best players. P5 teams are now being ranked as contenders by how many 5 stars are on their roster. Teams have enjoyed the privilege of being a member of a P5 conference, but years mediocre teams and zero chance of winning the conference takes its toll.

I would not be surprised that with the new laws for paying player for their image/ads, overall cost of maintaining a P5 FB team, and the growing apathy among fans and students will change college FB that we know. The media and advertisers have behind the scenes been creating the P5 brand and could easily make a S4 brand of 4 conferences with only 12 teams per conference.

The media and advertisers along with the new economics in college FB/BB can create a FB/BB only super conference made up of only the blue bloods.

Cannot happen, possible legal actions by existing P5 schools being left out. If the media/advertisers tell such schools they will only negotiate with certain schools directly and will no longer offer all P5’s equally after the TV/media conference contracts expire, well that is what the OU/Georgia lawsuit was all about.

The truth is that those fans of P5/G5 schools are realizing in mass that it is already a media/advertiser created system where approximately 20 teams annually have a good chance of winning a mythical championship. Another 28 or so have a punchers chance of playing for the P5 conference championship once in two decades or so. The other 16 P5 schools have little to no chance of ever being a contender and there conference records validate this.

So, enjoy this year and next, for by 2025 you might be saddened by what college FB will look like.
