COULD THEY CANCEL MARCH MADNESS (Yes)

I think we need to start wrapping our minds around the fact that there will be no NCAA Tournament this year. Just heard the CKS interview on Matt Thomas’ show and his tone and some of the things he said was such that their season was more than likely over.

I’m trying to come to terms with the tournament being canceled. The first four games would start on Tuesday. Aint happening. Only way would be testing all players and staffs first to make sure no body has the virus. That wont and shouldn’t happen since we aren’t confident the country has enough testing kits as it is.

The best we can hope for is an announcement that the tournament is pushed back. But how would you even decide for how long? This could be worse in 2 weeks for all we know. I think 4 weeks is the max you could push the tournament back to keep it during the school year and to not ruin too much for guys going pro.

You’ve pretty much nailed it best case is things get under control in the next couple weeks and then we get a chance to pick it back up.

But right now this is done.

Unfortunately, I think we’re in the less bad spot now and can expect this to get worse before it gets better.

Spring ISD and Lone Star canceled for a week.

Yea. Lets be the last to pull out of the tourney and claim the championship…a la UCF.

It’s all but a guarantee after Duke and Kansas pulled out. All we can really do is take solace in the fact that UH was a Top 25 program this year.

That’s three auto-bids (due the three-way tie) from the AAC?

I’m OK with that.

They will have to do a tiebreaker. No way they give 3 autobids to the AAC.

I’d guess they will try to get it to Cincy or Tulsa given we will be in regardless.

Ain’t gonna matter now. Teams keep pulling out. Never gonna get played now.

Any truth to the rumor the ACC commish is going to blame it on Fred Hoiberg?

I’ve read that they are giving it to Cincy, but it will likely be moot.

Nah…auto-bid would go to U of H, since the Coogs were in anyway. Committee will make whatever decision is easiest for them!

I believe conferences control their own auto-bids. For example Ivy League sending regular season champ Yale in lieu of tourney champ.

Hmmm…well, if that’s the case, Tulsa gets it to maximize the inclusion

already been given to cincy

What are your talking about. It has already been confirmed.
