Herman loses to Tech in Austin

Don’t miss Herman. Watched this game and the Maryland game. He had to use trick plays against tech for it to be a close game. Could not score 6 from the one on 4 downs. What a looser, UH is better without him.

Some are still blaming Mack Brown for their current situation.

In that Country Club (ie: entitlement) culture up there in Austin, the boys simply aren’t going to work too hard or risk a concussion just to please a big-time self-promoter like Herman. Very different world than he had here in Houston.

You mean the only coach to be successful at UT in the last 40 year’s? Hahaha idiots.

Yea, they say he basically checked out at some point and recruited terribly leaving the cuboard bare.

Herman will soon have good seasons at UT. Too much talent falls into his lap for them to stink on a regular basis. So, I’m enjoying the meltdown fully as I suspect it won’t last beyond another year or two.

Yep he has the No. 1 class in the country coming in…

The recruiting rankins must mean nothing if the cupboard is bare.

I am sure Herman will get at least three years to turn things around…when those folks up there get the itch he will be gone…if he wins big he will own the state…

His post game presser is pretty brutal. Although I do think that he’ll be successful eventually, I can say that I never expected him to have a press conference with this type of demeanor.

Ugh you gotta be kidding me

Gawd I hate that school.

Is it just me or has Tom put on some weight since he moved to Austin?

Yup. If they having the same disappointing losses 2 years from now, he will be on the hot seat. But I have wondered if coaching in Austin was going to mesh with his personality. All of the non-football commitments seem like things he would hate in addition to not having the control he had here. Time will tell how this turns out. I am too disappointed in the UH conference situation to act like Texas is having it so bad, lol.

After watching all of the traditional rivals play each other, I am just glad they are playing Tech on Thanks Giving. That is a loss before the game even starts.

He sure is singing a different tune. Down here the winning was about culture and alignment. Up there the losses are about the hand he was dealt.

Guess the talk with the parents about keeping things in house before the season didn’t work:

He was putting on weight last year, but he’s starting to balloon in Austin. Guessing the stress is getting to him.

UT recruits get boosted in the rankings once they commit. Saw it last year when a couple of Houston commits flipped and saw a sizable jump in their scouting scores after they committed to UT.

This has been going on since the early ‘70’s.

I saw a number on twitter of how many high rated recruits that Tom has. So I checked it out.

Over the last 5 recruiting periods, the horns have gotten 54 FOUR or FIVE star recruits.

Currently on the team are 36 FOUR or FIVE star recruits. The 18 differential is not just due to graduation but a host of transfers. We have one of them.

Additionally, they have another 39 THREE star recruits on the team.

22 of of the FOUR or FIVE star recruits are in the two deep.

I have to think that outside of the top 5 programs in the country, no one else has this kind of rating service talent on their team.

The punter is un-ranked but he may be the most “elite” player they have.
