Fun game. Big win. Pleasantly surprised. Quiet pig fans around me.
Story from Arkansas paper with quotes from some of the Hogs.
Itâs pretty sad when you have to beg the opposing teamâs fans to come out to future gamesâŠwe should have a decent crowd for LSU, well, if the Tiger fans show upâŠ
I would think Tiger fans would show up since its in Baton Rouge this year.
The AAC, especially after the addition of Wichita State is a power conference in basketball. As UH becomes a factor in the conference race, they will start to draw better. Making a push this year would add to the bump that attendance will get from the Fertitta Center. Sampson has done a nice job. UH is fortunate to have somebody that isnât looking to jump to a âbig schoolâ and interested in building a solid program
College basketball is my favorite sport and my team is 1200 miles away so having really good CBB to watch in town would be nice since the Coogs are one of my adopted schools.
Could have left the last two words off.
Guess I need to pay attention LOLâŠ
This 11 am tip on Wednesday has me a little worried. Coming off a big win, probably a smaller crowd on a Wednesday morning⊠I am enjoying last nightâs victory - it was the first home game I missed this season [Wednesday will be my 2nd]. Hope more people can start making it out to see them play.
I think weâll be OK. Fairfield isnât very good.
Crowd may be good as theyâll be busing in a bunch of elementary school kids.
Hereâs Corey and Devin Davis after the game:

Why is the next game at 11 am?
Great Victory
Enjoying TSU while we wait for renovations to complete esp. the Jambalaya at the concession stand.
(still pretty amazed a camera phone can take this good a shot and send it to the Internet immediately)
Theyâre bussing in a bunch of Houston area school kids to the game. Basically, field trip day for the kids.
Game is against Fairfield so they werenât expecting a lot of fans and UH students (finals week) to show up.
I really, really, really like this idea. I know itâs not great for the general basketball fanbaseâŠbut this game, seemingly meaningless to most of us, could be a life changer for some of these kids. Sitting in the crowd might be a future UH optometristâŠor a future UH hotel managerâŠor a future seven foot starting center for the Coogs. Just a game on paper might be an event that opens the eyes of a young kid who might find their future path leading down Cullen.
To me, bringing these kids in is the epitome of #ForTheCity. Good job UH athletics.
Now, CKS, go show these kids what a future NCAA tournament participant looks likeâŠand let them know their futures at UH are unlimited.
Glad we decided to do one of these. The D-League (not calling it G-League) has been doing it for a few years. Also the pro league in Canada does it.
Is there any link online to watch the Ark game? Sadly missed it.
